The “Big Jake” is a tribute to John Wayne, resembling the Duke rig that he used in many of his films. Like all of our holsters, this is crafted by hand from start to finish using only the highest quality materials available, just like the quality holsters of the old American West.
Made of premium Hermann Oak Leather, this revolver holster is fully lined and molded for a smooth draw and easy re-holstering. The leather, sourced directly from the United States, is hand-dyed and all edges are burnished before being painted for a long-lasting finish.
Since 1950, we’ve been proudly making our custom holsters in the great state of Texas. All of our old west style holsters are handmade with high quality United States leather.
Our meticulous process starts with selecting the best part of the hide, followed by hand-dyeing the holster to ensure a rich, deep color that complements your firearm. The holsters are sewn using seven cord bonded nylon thread and double-stitched in all critical areas. The heavy weight construction ensures the holsters remain open when re-holstering. Each holster is hand-molded for a perfect fit, and the edges are sanded and burnished to a smooth, glossy finish to prevent moisture from entering the leather. Finally, the holsters are polished and finished with a clear coating to protect the finish.
