FAQ
Our standard shipping time on “Concealment holsters and Accessories” is 8-10 weeks. Standard shipping time on “Old West Rigs” is 4-6 weeks. Once an order is received, we will check our inventory to see if the item(s) are in stock. If the items are in stock, the order will ship the following day. If the item(s) have to be made up, we will send you an email with the current estimated shipping time for your order.
When you take into account that we manufacture about 30 different style holsters, in 3 different colors and combine that with the many different handguns in the market today, it is not feasible to keep an inventory on hand. Therefore, pretty much all orders are made up as the orders are received
It does not actually take 8-10 weeks to create a holster, however, all orders are made up in the order they are received. Some days there may only be 100 orders ahead of yours, but on other days, there may be up to 700 holsters ahead of yours on the factory list.
NOTE: We do keep an in-stock inventory for the most popular handguns requested such as the 1911s, a handful of the Glock models, but almost everything else is made up as the orders are received.
If the item is in stock, and the order is received before 12:00 P.M. (CST), the order will be shipped the same day, the following day for orders received after 12:00 P.M. If the item is not in stock, you will receive an email with the current shipping time frame and you can decide at that point if you would still like the order shipped 2nd day or overnight when ready.
Depending on the package weight and destination address, express shipping usually runs between $35-70.
We do ship international orders. All international orders are shipped via US International Priority Mail. Depending on the package weight and destination address, the international shipping fees usually run between $40-80.
Please note that the customer is responsible for all import fees and that the time is takes to clear customs varies from country to country.
If you place your order online, you will receive an automated response which shows the current shipping times for that time of year. Although the automated email states average delivery time is 8-10 weeks, once the order is printed and processed, one of our clerks will send you a second email with the current shipping frame. If you place the order by phone, the sales rep that takes your order will let you know the current shipping time for the item(s) you are ordering.
If you provide us with an email address, we will gladly send you the tracking number when your order ships.
If the item you are ordering is for a gift (ex: birthday, anniversary, Christmas), we will do our best to get the item to you in time. Depending on the item ordered and the time frame given, we may need to upgrade the shipping to 2nd Day or Next Day Air, but we will certainly do our best to get the item to you in time.
All of our products are created using only the finest American leather. The holsters are constructed of 8 ounce cowhide leather, the belts are made of 9 ounce leather and the 4 ounce suede is used in the lined versions.
Yes! All of our rigs are available I left handed configurations at no extra charge.
For dress belts, most people require a belt 1 size larger than their jeans/pants. For example, if you wear 36″ jeans, you need a 38″ belt. However, if you will be using a holster (& accessories) on your belt, we recommend a belt 2 sizes larger than your jeans/pants.
For western rigs, everyone seems to wear their rig a bit differently, for the best fit, we ask that you submit two measurements.
The first measurement is your jean/pant size. For example, you can let us know that you wear a size 40 jean. The second measurement is an actual measurement taken at the point where you would like to wear your rig. (See how do I determine actual measurement)
Please note that there is a 25% restocking fee on returns/exchanges for belt sizes smaller than 42″ and larger than 46″.
For more instructions you can follow our sizing guide.
To determine the actual measurement, wrap a tape measure around yourself as if it were the rig. The tape measure should be snug enough that it does not slip off your sides, but not so tight that it digs into your clothing. The tape measure should sort of just lie against your body. NOTE…..In most cases, this measurement is 4-6 inches larger than your jean size.
*TIP– If you plan to wear your rig at your natural waist over a dress belt, you should take the measurement over your dress belt as it will affect the size.
Please note that there is a 25% restocking fee on returns/exchanges for belt sizes smaller than 42″ and larger than 46″.
For more instructions you can follow our sizing guide.
Yes, we will make belts up to size 60″. A $25 fee is added to the price of the belt for belts over 46″.
No problem! We will gladly exchange the belt for you. Upon receipt of the return we will contact you by phone to go over sizing and to go over the billing information. Please note that a restocking fee will be applied to returns & exchanges for belts smaller than 42″ and larger than 46″.

For over 60 years we have hand crafted our holsters and belts one at a time. We do not keep a larger inventory on hand. In fact, most of our products are made to the specifications requested by the customer. It is because of this manufacturing process that the following return guidelines must be adhered to:
Items must be returned in new and unused condition
Restocking fee may apply on certain items
Exchanges must be received within 20 days of receipt
Exchange policy does not include shipping fees
NO exchanges or refunds on items with custom changes
Although we have a pretty liberal return policy, custom items WILL NOT be accepted for an exchange, refund or credit. Items with custom changes are considered FINAL sales and are not eligible for return, exchange or refund. In addition, once the order has been processed, the order cannot be canceled.
Sure as long as your order has not been shipped we will gladly cancel it. Just send an email to support@kirkpatrickleather.com. If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours please contact us to make sure we received your request.
*This policy does not apply to rigs, holster, belts, or accessories with custom changes.
Due to the irregular size/larger size boxes needed to ship the bandolier & rifle scabbards, the USPS shipping fees for these two items are a $50 flat rate for US shipping.
