About Glock
Glock was founded in 1963 by “Gaston Glock”, an Austrain Engineer. To meet the needs of Austrian Military and law enforcement “Gaston Glock” developed the semi-automatic Glock service pistol, a first of it’s kind. He wanted to ensure that the pistol not only performed well but provided protection against accidental discharge. So he developed the SAFE ACTION system. The Safe Action system consists of three internal safeties: the trigger, firing pin and drop safeties.
Extremely tough tests by public police agencies prove all the time that GLOCK “Safe Action” guns function without compromise; even in the most extreme conditions.
TRIGGER SYSTEM
The “Safe Action” system is a partly tensioned firing pin lock; that is moved further back with the trigger bar as soon as the trigger is pulled. Once the trigger is pulled, 3 precautionary features are automatically deactivated one after another. When doing so, the trigger bar is deflected downwards by the connector and the firing pin is released under full load. As soon as the trigger is released, all three safety measures re-engage and the GLOCK pistol is quickly secured once again.
TRIGGER SAFETY
As the first of the 3 GLOCK “Safe Action” safety features, the trigger safety prevents accidental shooting by side to side forces to the trigger. Releasing the trigger will immediately reactivate the safety. It’s precisely these characteristics that meet the requirements of police, special units, security services and the military services.
Most of our belt holsters for the Glock models have a slight FBI cant. This helps narrow the profile of the gun and makes it more concealable. Some holsters also feature a reinforced top; so they remain open for easy re-holstering. We have a variety of styles to choose from.
We have been proudly making our custom holsters right here in the great state of Texas, since 1950. All our holsters are custom made from high quality American leather.
How our holsters are built
We start by cutting from the best part of the hide. We then hand dye the holster to ensure a rich deep color that will accent your firearm. All our holsters are sewn using seven cord bonded nylon thread and double stitched in all critical areas. Each holster is then hand molded for a perfect fit and contoured to the hip for comfort. The edges are then sanded and hand burnished to a smooth glossy finish. This helps prevent moisture from entering the edges of the leather. They are then polished and finished with a clear coating to protect the finish. Our concealed carry designs secure your firearm; while still providing instant access when needed. Our holsters are built to last a lifetime.
